UPDATE [June 24, 2019]: The first arc of The Frontier is finished! I’m going to be taking a break to work on a couple of other projects (some of which will probably be posted here), but I’ll continue to update with various short pieces and some non-fiction essays periodically until I can devote more regular time to the next arc.

UPDATE [April 25, 2019]: It occurred to me that, while posts appearing in reverse chronological order makes sense for people just looking for the latest chapter, it’s a confusing order for anyone reading for the first time. So I added an Index page, which I’ll keep updated with direct links to the chapters in the correct order. I’ve also noticed that if you’re clicking the links at the bottom to move to the next chapter, it’s going to the next post even if it’s not part of the web serial. I’ll look into fixing this, but it’s not a big deal yet at least.

Welcome to Collected Tomes, the assembled writings of Kyp Maher, who… look, you’re not here for this opening spiel, I get it. If you’re here for fiction, start with The Frontier, a web serial about a down-on-his-luck mercenary on the edge of the galaxy. But I’ll also periodically post other short stories and non-fiction pieces.

But this is also where I’ll post any updates to the site, like when I arbitrarily decide to change the UI right when you get comfortable with it. Don’t you just love that? You won’t know where anything is! Good stuff.
